Getting a new bike is always exciting, and even though I am sure some of you mountain bikers dont think much of road riding, I am pretty partial to it and the gear that goes with it. Above all I am amazed at how stable my new Quantum feels on the descents. Being in wellington, the roads around here provide me with a fair testing ground. The new style shimano levers are also an improvement in shape, as well as the stiffer big chainring, up shifting at the front is very direct, no chainring flex at all.

Nice looking machine! Will be interested to see it in the flesh once I hit Welly.
